I am in no way endorsing this lens, nor advertising it, nor do I own one. I just think it is neat.

I met the guy, Craig Strong, who invented this lens. He is a very nice guy and takes some amazing pics.

This lens is really neat. It swivels and has a "sweet spot" in the middle. Whatever is in the sweet spot is in focus and the rest has a sort of DOF blur. Very cool

Check out the Gallery and the Lensbabies Friends sections to see some photos taken with the lens.

I wish I had a DSLR to get one.

I am glad this helped someone.

Craig let me play with the lensbaby on his camera and he suggested pulling the lens all the way back towards the camera, and then moving the focal point that way. He also suggested holding/moving the lens with the index and middle fingers on your left hand and the middle finger on your right hand, of course using your right index finger to press the shutter. It was a little different feel at first, but I got used to it.

Enjoy and I would like to see some of your photos when you get it.

I have one of these guys (actually bought it from Craig) and I love it. I can take some pretty ordinary things and make them special.

Hi there;

Out of curiosity I checked out the lensbabies sight. There was something about the pictures that was awfully familiar. Then it hit me. Occasionally, when switching to my wide-angle lens on my Kodak dx6490, I would forget to change my zoom setting. The result is a shot that is focused in the center, with a soft glow around the edges. You tell me... is this not similar to the lensbaby? Now what this lacks, of course, is the flexible "sweet spot" of the lensbabies, but the effect is definately recognizable.

Of course, it's entirely possible that I'm kidding myself. (I'm not that smart:?) You tell me.

Here's another, with the effect more pronounced.
