I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Digital Optics & their lens. Are they any good? Would you recommend them?

I saw some listings for them on eBay in re: to Nikon's Coolpix 5700.

Thanks to all,

Zanne

All I've read is that you should stay away from them.

They're pretty cheap though, so it might not be much of a risk to at least give them a try. I was wondering the same myself.

Does anyone know much about the Kenko kut-300hi (I think is the model #), it's a 3x tele add-on

Here we go again, AVOID THEM!!! They're garbage! ;-)

If you want a good lens, check out the Raynox brand:

The Raynox lens sound great, but where can you buy them & how much do they run? Them seem nicer than the ones Nikon offers. Is that true?

Thanks!

As you didn't fill in your location information when you registered, can't tell how much, but if you hit a site in the US like B&H Photo, and type in RAYNOX as a search, you'll get a variety of Raynox lenses:

Actually, mine are not all that bad, I have a 2XTC and a WA, macro combo I use on My C4000Z and C2500L. Maybe I got lucky. Had to retire for health issues, before I was ready, budget is really a big issue here. 2X won't agree with MyC720UZ, other OLYs turn out clean crisp shots. If You buy from a place that is reasonable about returns, and they don't prove out, no problem, send them back. I never regretted buying Mine.

It would probably help to know who you were referring to as there are many posters in this thread.

If you are talking about tsiya,
I think he makes the point that he is in fact using a "Digital Optics" lens and has been somewhat satisfied with the result.
Did I get it right?
