Just purchased a Canon G6 and was wanting to find a lens and filter kit. Been looking on eBay but didn't find much. Most seem to be of lesser quality.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Once you get the filter adapter tube for your camera (many sites say it's the LA-DC58D, but I can't verify that as I'm not familiar with Canon), you can get any filter or converter lens you want in that diameter (58mm).

Here's Raynox's G3/G5 page which shows what the lenses look on that camera and you can click on the lens for sample images:
http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/digital/egcanong3.htm

For most of Raynox's lenses, a 58-52mm stepdown ring will be needed as Raynox's thread is usually 52mm, but I also read of a 52mm tube available from third parties. You should really check with oter Canon users and dealers regarding tubes for the G6 as it's a newer camera.

Thanks for the information - I used Froggle and found the LA-DC58D for about $39.50 plus shipping. I'll check out the Raynox lenses.

Thanks again .

You might want to wait for a week or two until Lensmate offers their new adapter. They're almost always better than stock. www.lensmateonline.com.

Cheers,

I purchased a Canon G6 and have a question about the available lenses. One of the websites has an accessory kit that includes two lenses - a titanium telephoto and wide angle lens. These lenses are Sakar.
What is the quality of these lenses by this manufacturer?
Is it better to use Canon lenses?
