I have a Canon Digital Rebel, but had to sell my old Tamron lens because it wasn't sharp with the DIGITAL. I'm interested in the new Di lens and would like to get some actual user feedback. Thanks, Mike

I have one for my D-70 and I love it! Its fast and clear, the only problem Im having is using it for macro shots,,that really frustrates me to no end but other than that its a great lens.

What EXACTLY is the problem you are having with the "Macro" focusing of the Tamron 28-300 Di ??????? Isn't it supposed to be sharp at 19" at all focal lengths????

What kinds of problems can i expect using my tamron 28-300 (not DI) with a canon digital rebel? I have the old lens with my obsolete film 35 mm canon rebel 2000 and want to go digital.

Because the ORIGINAL Tamron 28-300 is designed for 35mm, I found that, enlarged photos showed a very "soft" image with "fringing & vignetting" with my Digital Rebel. Due to the smaller APS sizes sensor and the way it reads light through the lens. I sold it and got an EF55-200 Canon lens (88-320mm 35mm equivalent) for only $200 and it's "optimized" to use with the Rebel, etc. VERY SHARP!
