Help, I'm looking at purchasing a New Canon Digital SLR and I have an old Pentax lens that I love. The lens is a SMC Pentax-A, Zoom 1:3.5, 35-100mm, Manual focus. Would this lens work or does it have to be an EF/EFS EOS lense?

Thank you.

I think that the answer is rather obvious - Pentax lens fit Pentax cameras NOT Canon.

Check online vendors. There may be an adapter that will get you there. Some people are so Brand specific they can't see past the Brand they own. There are a lot of ways around if you aren't too particular what the BRAND is, even ( Gasp) Aftermarket vendors. Alright Go ahead get the branding mafia after me I said it anyway. Seriously , look around at Adorama.com Or B&H Photo.com for adapters, they are there.
