I just bought a new W5 and like it alot. I would really like to improve the zoom capabilities, though. I saw sony makes 2 telephoto lenses ( i think i would go with the 2.7 supertelephoto), but are there any others on the market that will fit? If so I guess I have just opened up a can of worms, so does anyone have and advice or reccomendations? Also, I tried searching but nothing really came up, does anyone have any photos using the Sony lens (or others) that I can look at?

Thanks for your help.

I bought the Sony 2.6 tele with adapter and sent it back. It was more trouble than it was worth.

HI - depending on what you want to do with your camera, it may be worth your while to look at the EagleEye OpticZoom lens which is also available via Phil William's http://www.photosolve.com For results you can view my other messages on this site.

A photo taken using the EagleEye lens can be found at ..... http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=50

If I'm not mistaken the Sony adapter ring for the W series cameras has a 37mm diameter. This is the same diameter as that of the EagleEye lens! Due to the diameter of your camera model's lens it should be even more suited to using the EagleEye than my own camera as it's lens is wider thus producing a greater degree of vignetting.

Cheers

The end of the adapter that accepts a lens or a flter is 30mm.

Hi Goofas - presume you are referring to the Sony W models. If that is the case a step-up filter should do the job. See website: http://www.photosolve.com/main/produ.../W1/index.html
