Default Raynox lenses for F707

I have seen this link for sony f707 lenses. Can anyone tell if these lenses are ok?

I mean in the sense of the professional ones and these, coz the price is very nice i guess. As an amature i saw the sample pictures and they looked good, but maybe a more experienced person here can tell a bit more.

Default My advice is "don't"...

Stick with the Olympus B-300 1.7x or Olympus TCON-14B 1.45X for your F707. The Raynox lenses in my expierence are not suitable as a match for the quality Zeiss lens in your camera.

For a Wide angle lens I used the VCL-HG0758.
The quality was awesome and it works well with the zoom of the camera. Its a little pricey though.
Olympus has some nice tele lenses that work though.

Default F707 - add on lenses

Messages show don't use Raynox lenses.
Next question is: do all add on lenses for F707 disable the
digital zoom?

No, add on lenses have no effect on digital zoom. If you have the camera set to zoom beyond the optical maximum, it will do so regardless of what's attached in front of the lens.

Default F707 add on lenses

Thanks for the reply in regard to
digital zoom add ons.
I'm a bit confused.
Setup shows a Conversion On/off option
which I presume sets the camera focal length for a specific setting.
I was trying to figure out if 'converion on/off' was required
for all add-ons.

It would be great to get an add on lens say 1.8x that allowed use of the full/partial top end zoom range with digital.

Default On setup...

The purpose of that feature is to prevent vignetting by limiting zoom back. Since vignetting is quite easy to see in the viewfinder or on the LCD, and that feature is designed for Sony specific lenses, just ignore it and don't change the settings at all. Just mount the lens, zoom as you wish until the frame suits you and press the shutter.

Best regards,

Lin

Default raynox sony707

As long as you keep the apperture between f2-f5 the quality is okay.
But sure not perfect.
I have the 1850 pro tele. I regret that i didn't spend the money on the sony wide-conversion.
If you want i can send you some pictures i have taken to see for your self.
