Hi - have read that this place sends to Australia withina couple of weeks or less - reasonable price and good service.

http://www.lensmateonline.com/newsite/S2.html

Choice of 58mm or 52mm quality aluminium adapters

Have heard good reports for Raynox DCR250 macro lens

Hoya,B&W and some more brands are good filters - the more coatings, the better and more expensive.Smaller diameter are cheaper.

Cheers Dom

Good macro lenses should be achromats.
You can read the reasons here:
http://home.planet.nl/~heuv0283/achromats.html

This is my personal list of achromats:

Most are out of production, so look at ebay...
Start with +2 diopters, second lens: +4 diopters
If you find the nikons still - they are stackable.
I have heard that buying lenses in australia is not so easy.
Boyzo (a panasonic member) got his nikons from canada!
So look for:
nikon 3T,5T
minolta #1

lateron:
nikon 4T,6T
minolta #2
canon 250d
raynox 150

if you want to get real close:
raynox 250

These are the new ones, but if you find a good used Olympus lens - take it!!

cheers Sven

...sorry don't know anything about canon adapters....
But many americans buy their stuff here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/

I use an Olympus T-con17 teleconverter quite often with good results , but had to make an adapter to fit as the one ordered from shop didn't seem to be arriving anytime soon-that was before i read of Lensmate.I have a Hoya circular polarizer and in the last year have used it once to test it - same with the UV filter.

Quite a number of people leave their adapter fitted with UV filter on the cam all the time for lens and barrel dirt/bump protection - but i find this leaves the cam too bulky for me,also i am pretty careful with it.

Haven'tused any wide/macro lenses.Good report for Sony teleconverter here(not many teleconverters have been tested with the S2 compared to older cams)
