Does anyone know if its possible to put 2 teleconverters together?

Unless you want extreme vignetting second converter would have to have output pupil as wide as TCON-17's front lens.

Also total weight would become such that if it's attached to camera using filter threads I wouldn't count those lasting long.

Boiley................are you talking about using a doubler or tripler. If so I have thought about the same thing. I had both when I gave the NIKON SLR's to my Daughter. I never looked into if anyone made one in the 55mm size with front and rear threads. Might be fun to play with in daylight shots.

Hi

Have a look here - and check out "fmoores" threads on teleconvertors - i think he has tried them all.No front threads on Tcon17 if you didn't know already. But i think he may have glued old filter threads onto some of his convertors for some of his experiments.

If you click on his name in the threadit will come up with all his postings and you can choose what to look at.

The TCON-17 will have to be the last component as it has no front thread. I have used a Crystalvue 8x lens with the TCON in front on my Oly C 5050. It gave me 3 x 8 x 1.7 = 40.8.

Please see my Panasonic FZ-30 user guide for more details. In general, when stacking two teleconverters, the one on camera should have higher power. Even though no vignetting in the resulting images, youwill easily see lower resolution and lower contrast. Hence, do it only when it is absolutely necessary. Moreover, only use high quality lenses.

I am thinking to stack teleconverter too...but many said that the photo quality is very poorly.

I am not sure until I try. ahahha
