any photography stores near me only have hama macro lens/filters. they are 3 filters for about 50 euro which seems quite cheap. has anyone any expirience with them or do you know if they are any good?

These lenses are not good, not even worth the money...

Used achromats are first choice if you want to save money.

I RECOMMEND USING CANON CLOSE-UP LENS 500D. IT IS A FANTASTIC ATTACHMENT FOR LENS NOT LESS THAN 200MM IN FOCAL LENGTH. ATTACHING IT TO SUCH LENSES, YOU WILL GET GOOD MAGNIFICATION AND IMAGES OF GOOD RESOLUTION.

THE FOLLOWING IS A FLORAL SHOT TAKEN WITH THE LENS ON. THE BUILT-IN LENGS ON MY DIMAGE A2 IS A28-200.

have since purchaced a nikon 6T and am awaiting delivery of my nikon 5T and an adapter to allow me to fit it onto my camera. thanks for the helpful information all. il let you all know how i get on
