Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum, so please bare with me as I am kind of new to all of this.

Currently, I own a powershot S3IS Canon camera and a couple weeks ago, I purchased a Tiffen megaplus .75 wide converter lens. The reason I bought this lens is that I read good feedback on it, and read an article on "Lensmate.com" about it. According to them it seemed to work really good with the S2IS camera, but I have tried different converter settings and auto focus settings with my S3IS, and no matter what I do my pictures are out of focus.

I mean, it seems obvious that my problem is that I own a S3IS and not a S2IS, but if I am not mistaken, isn't the S2IS and the S3IS very similar? I have read that they are almost identical except megapixels and a couple other features, so I do not know what the problem is. Anyway, if anyone has any ideas on what setting to use or any suggestions to get this lens to work properly with my camera, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!

If you have an accesories mode on your camera, try to put it on...

Have you tried setting the camera on macro mode? I have a different camera but I also encountered the same out of focus problem until I pressed the macro mode. I don't know the explanation for that. Maybe the WA lens widens the view to the extent it reduces the overall image it projects unto the camera lens thus the need for macro mode. Just trying to help

Did you read the manual?
Set the camera setting to converter setting that has "W" in it (forgot the exact name) and you must always use it with the zoom in far wide mode according to the manual.
