Hi all,
I've had this tablet for a long time, and have rooted it. It worked well for a long time; but recently I put an application on, and changed some settings, that caused it to freeze after starting. The home page looks the same as normal, but does not respond to touch. I'm not sure what I did wrong.
I have tried the various remedies suggested on the net. I've wiped the cache partition and done the factory reset. Applying update from ADB goes nowhere, the external memory (SD card) does not seem to be accessible, and I have tried all the options under internal memory that I can ...... but nothing seems to work. I did notice that the factory reset produced a different home page, but it is not responsive to touch either, and reverts back to the other home page upon the next boot, which I have to do by holding down the start button. One might think that the touch screen is broken, but it does work in the recovery mode. Any help is appreciated.
Here's what I know about the tablet:
It's the Pandigital white 7" screen
Android version 4.22 firmware 2.0.8
A23 processor
Model Q8H

P.S. I also can no longer access the tablet on Windows 7; however, it still charges on the USB port.
