Here's what happens to snakes that are about to shed. No idea why this happens. Anyways, she's blind right now and REALLY edgy. I guess I'dget bitchy too if I went blind every two months. Anyways, her eyes clear up after about a week or so, then she sheds a day or two after.

Hi Steve,

Very interesting, the shedding that is. I looked up as to the reason the snake becomes blind and apparently there is transparent skin over the eyes which also sheds and as it pulls away the snake cannot see. And you are right they become confused and aggressive.

Hey Nadia...

The day after I took that photo, her eyes cleared up almost to the point where they are totally clear. Now she should shed with a week or so.

I sorta figured it has something to do with the skin on the eye caps... I wasn't entirely sure though, so thanks for clearing that up for me!
