Kitty goes for six

Once I get the timing down on the shutter lag, I should be able to get him actually catching his football. Rizzo is good at the one pawed (clawed?) grab, he then tuck's it away (the picture above) before coming down with it.

I'm using a Nikon CP5000, and the only setting I have left at automatic is the focus.

Now that Tabby looks to be a very sharp kitty. You've caught it well.
I agree with Frank:

"Sharp" and "different" definately describe him. Too bad we usually use those terms in phrases like; "@!#$ those claws are sharp!" and " things sure are different around here since we got a cat."

I'd like to take credit for posing him, but we were playing catch with that football. Out of about 15 shots I got 3 good ones with him and the football together. I'm still trying to get one with him catching the ball one pawed (his claws can grip the fuzzy surface). The other thing that helped is that I'm using an old flash that is usually only good for blinding people. It allowed me to shoot with a shutter of 1/1000 and stop his movements.

Wow! I hadn't seen it either, and it's a great shot. Sharp, colorful, great composition, and a bit of action. What more could a photographer hope for?
