Default Please pick what pic I should use for contest

There is a place here in Michigan that has a "Dog of the month" contest. The best dog pic adorns their wall for 30 days and the dog gets a huge care package of doggie gifts.

My plan is to use this one:

But, if you go to my site, please check out the bottom row of dog pics (the smallest chocolate lab) and tell me if you think I chose the right one to use. The main address is:

Also, feel free to browse the site. I just became the proud papa of triplets!!!

Congratulations Nick. Allways nice to grow the family.

I sure would pic "Kia10.jpg ". There's good colors, nice composition and a aerodynamic flying funny brown dog!

Yea, regardless of how nice some of those other dog pics look, this one seems to "jump out" at me every time.

I am with DK. Your angle for the pic took all the glare out of the water. Were you using a filter?

Thanks for the input

I did not use a filter. In fact, I was sitting on a paddle pontoon boat towards the end of the dock and shooting with my Olympus C-3030 on auto focus. I would aim the camera and push the button down halfway so that it focused in on the area just off the edge of the dock. Then I would hold it there and look directly at the dog myself. When she got to the spot where I knew the camera was aimed, I pushed the button the rest of the way down. That is why the dock is in perfect focus, but the dog has slight signs of a moveing object. Still, I think the slight out-of-focus parts of the dog add life to the pic.

That is one of my favorite features of a digital camera. A schmuck like me can take 100 pictures and get a few that look like that one LOL

As far as the absence of glare, I believe that had only to do with the time of day. It just turned out that way.
