Here is a shot I took of one of our Shiba Inu's. Curious what you all think.

Did some light post processing to lighting the shadows a touch, and increase the lens blur for the background.

Hiya Gorden,

Noble looking animal. Are they working dogs too, and what sort of work?

Ifind the areas of blue sky a bit distracting - maybe they could be toned down and/or the hue changed tofit in more with the rest of the pic. The dog is quite 'busy' and the background I think needs a bit more muting.

Just my tuppence worth!

Nice looking black & tan:cool:. Here's what I hear all the time, Hey nice dog, what kind is it? my reply~ A Shibe Inu. Their reply~ A what? Yours looks bigger, but it could just be the angle. I have a non-standard color cream colored shiba. I'll try to remember to post a pic in the next few days.

Thanks for the input, I'll see if I can tone down the background a bit.

The Shiba Inus are from Japan, and were hunting dogs originally, I believe flushing game from woods and brush given they way ours will lose interest in anything other than the bird they just saw fly by.. :)

Thanks again!

She's actually just a touch big for the "standard" but since we don;t show it's not an issue. We bred her with a red that was smaller than her, and out of the litter of 5 one has grown into what you would swear is some kind of german shepard mix, he's so big. :)

I'll try and post a few more.
