Thanks Barracuba , I have always shot in Jpeg with my Sony R1 and this is the first shot taken in RAW and I rather like the detail that is obtainable shooting this way.
I also found that I did not need any sharpening on this particular shot which meant a much cleaner image.

Yes, we shoot exclusively in RAW, I really enjoy the freedom in editing as opposed to jpeg.

What a beautiful animal Honey is! That's a great shot, it almost looks like it was taken with a DSLR. I haven't used the RAW feature in my camera much, mostly because I can't find a really good (and cheap!) RAW editor that supports the files from my Fuji S5200. I've tried S7RAW, but the results don't seem worth the effort.

Thanks for your comments , I really like the detail available in RAW and I use" raw shooter essentials" ( free download) for the RAW.
As to the image the Sony DSC-R1 although not a dslr has a lens that can match many of the better lens for DSLRs.
