I was playing with some lighting the other night and had our dog pose (our 17 month old daughter wasn't in the mood :-)).

Hi, Thanks. I've read on some other threads how people made homemade hot lights. I used an umbrella with a clamp on desk lamp and a floor lamp that has the adjustable 3 lights on it. All of the bulbs were 200 Watt clear bulbs from GE. I'm ona budget and only had to purchase the umbrella and bulbs (I already owned the lights). I'm still trying to get rid of the shadows when using a light color background.

Thanks for the info. Inexpensive but very effective. Perhaps another illumination source for lighter backgrounds to kill shadows?
