to miss the old guy though

Over the last few years I've posted photos of my dog jasper in steves digicams. That all came to an end when I had to have him put to sleep today. He passed away with me holding him stroking his head. It was peaceful and very calm. He had been very unwell over the last few days and was in heart failure and his lungs were filling with fluid. The vet told me he admires people that make the decision before it gets worse, you have to do what's right for the animal and I feel that it was the best for him, I'm going to miss the old guy though

Sorry to hear about you losing your buddy. Jasper sounds like he was a wonderful dog, and from his pics, had a ton of character.

I am sorry for your loss. Jasper must have been a very positive element in your life, and the sorrow sure must be deep. But as Jasper was a very positive and life-loving animal, he surely would want you to still see the future and the fun to come.Keep going, the hurt will dimish over time, the fond memories will stay.

I would like to join the other members and say how sorry I am to hear about your loss of Jasper.

He looks like he was a great dog, and I see from the dates that he lived a good long life.

Best wishes,
Gar
