Default Sharkies

Some photos of my uncles sharks in the tank. I thought they turned out alright for shooting in low light and through glass into water.

did you push the lens against the glass?

i would put a black border round these to add

the lens was not against the glass but very close.

ive been told to rest the lens on the glass ? never tried it though

A rubber lens hood works well for shooting through glass. Also a black backdrop behind the tank would help with the lighting as well as get that smiling face out of the picture.
There is an article in this months Popular Photography (Am I allow to say Popular Photography in Steve's) magazine on photographing fish in a tank.
