Hi Robert,
Thank you, Just had a nose at your Flikr pics, Really enjoyed that. It was real nice pic of King as a Pup with the others and to see him scoffing the cake. He sure has a great life with you, Brilliant to see.
Great family pics. and I really liked some of the close up shots like the Praying Mantis etc.
I like the sound of the Sony and that it can use the older Minolta lenses. The super steady shot sounds really great. I,m still tempted by the Nikon d50, I see you had one as well, Like the price now and the screen on the top but have seen lots for sale with shutters not working. Oops sorry off topic. Great stuff Robert.

Hi Mark, hey I love taking pictures, and if a few turn out good, I am happy. I love it we don't have to buy film anymore!

The D50 is an awesome camera, and a bit unique in that it was the last "consumer" grade slr nikon built with a focus motor in-body. I got some great pics from mine, and would probably still have it were it not for camera shake. That has been a minor problem the last few years, especially with long telephoto lenses. After I went with the Sony, Nikon began putting VR in their kit lenses, which are very good lenses. The D50 would take advantage of these lenses and would allow you to use older AF Nikkors and 3rd party lenses as well.
The trick, if there is one, will be to find one in good condition from a source you trust, since it is a fairly old(in electronics terms) camera, but still very capable, even by today's standards.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the info, didn't know about the vr lens stabilization and that could tip the balance. Will keep my eyes peeled after Christmas when the buying frenzie stops and see whats around.
Yes it's great not to have to buy film anymore, a great saving over the year, thatll pay for a new lens. Thats what I'm telling my wife anyway he he he. Although I,m sure she will see the saving as a food mixer. So I might have to live with the standard lens but at least Ill eat well.
Thanks Robert for the info, real useful.

My wife loves to put hats and sunglasses on our dog. He just gives me that look like "why do you let her do this to me?"

I know exactly what you mean. Here's a few of the boy in different disguises...

With his ball cap...

FSU Seminole fan..

In his reading glasses...

So you see, you're never alone in this...and who knows, the dogs probably love the attention.

When I took this, he was about to ask for some cake.

nice Hawgwild, the darken background really brings out the colors of the dog.

Robert, I was beginning to like you till you posted these abusive pics of your dog! I can't believe you force him to pose without pay. Being telepathetic ( and a dog whisperer), I can read his mind, do you really want to know what he is saying? He says "Dang, pizza and ice cream AGAIN, if it wasn't for the cake at the end of this party I would run out of here, put on my ball cap and glasses, get on the bed, and read a good book like call of the wild" Geesh man The Horror!
Just kiddin friend, nice dog, great teeth, happy overall mood. Thanks for sharing your animal with me.
