Default Owl

Close-up of a Verreaux's Eagle Owl on display at a local Christmas fair today. Panasonic FZ38, bit of processing to bring out the detail. C&C welcome.

I like the soft texture that you have captured.

Thanks guys. I might have to visit the bird of prey centre just over the road from my house again. All sorts there including a very nice Golden Eagle.

Cute. I would have liked a little more space on the top.

Real nice Martin, I've never noticed the eye lids up close on a Owl before. Great to see the detail. That trip to th Birds of prey center sounds like a great opportunity.

I find it somewhat odd. Subject is cool, but the feathers seem really strange using this effect. I would like to see the origional to see what difference this application has made to the photo. It is probably the effect (of course), you were looking for, but I am not convinced I like the whole HDR thing for wildlife. Just me I guess. ,,Frank
