Default Black and White

This is wierd her nose and eyes are in focus so you'd think her face would be...hmm. Anyway was trying for the face to be focused and going soft from there. Gotta keep working on depth of field.

Default Darling dog...

May I ask what type of dog? The coloring is very pretty. I wish my dog would pose like that for a photo!

Thanks for sharing.

Beep Beep,
Darby :-)

The aperature was 3.8 I think. She was inside a camper in the back of a pickup with a black liner. I used a 1st curtin flash and had the flash stopped down -1.7. She's a Border Collie X Austrailian Shepard. The black around the eyes used to be solid, she's showing her age...just like me.

Thanks, Kayd

f/3.8 will give shallow depth of field. the picture is still a keeper!!!

Pretty dog! Though about converting the photo to B&W? Heh, kidding

I'm with you...I have to get my d.o.f. down too as I've been experiencing the same issues. I have great photo opportunities, a decent eye...but lack real knowledge. Time & effort, the only remedy

The white around her eyes makes her that much prettier, so I think.
