Default Yuri

This is Yuri, our Russian Dwarf hamster, who is actually a girl, but the pet store told us was male!

These were taken with the Panasonic G3 and 20mm lens at iso 3200. The hand in the pics is mine, so they were taken one-handed.

mono,

Second Simon here. It's a long story but one night when I was walking the dogs a very small Russian Winterwhite Dwarf Hamster came running over the street at an incredible speed ..... (Yawn, yawn - don't fall asleep)

.......................................

Anyhow the status right now is that we, myself and the dogs have a little hamster in a gigantic aquarium - without water of course

Thanks, I was always reluctant to use my Canon EOS 30D at 3200, so I was kind of surprised that a CSC could turn out something acceptable at that iso.

Gosh, it must have escaped from its owners. They certainly can run amazingly fast. Here in Livingston, there are escaped Dutch rabbits living amongst wild ones on a roundabout at one end of the dual carriageway that runs through the town.

Thank you. I'd love to take pics of her more often, but she's not very good at staying in the one spot for any length of time, even when being bribed with various fresh veggies.

I'm afraid that unlike Remy in the film, Yuri isn't much of a cook.
