Thanks everyone for taking interest in the subjekt and for your words of affection to our fourlegged friends

Great medium, the Internet

I have two more pictures from the last two days as illustrations

The first is a vegetarian master's dream. The second is the true nature of dogs

The true nature of dogs. As I understand it, your dogs bring you the prey for you to decide what to do with it (retrieving?)

Mine eat whatever they can catch. Unlike cats they kill their prey by breaking the neck, they don't play with them

I really can't blame them. Thats not even "humanizing"; anthropomorphizing (yes, I guessed the spelling) Most of us leave to butchers to kill for us

The other day my oldest dame came with this in her mouth. She'd been away for some 15 minutes. Blood stains on her forehead and a fresh bone. Wonder what she'd been up to

They are still wolves at heart. That's praise. Wolves have all the virtues we find valuable in ourselves. Not least of those is loyalty to one's friends.

“If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.”

Your dogs look like they want to be left alone with their bones.
