Default west lowland gorillas

I visited my local conservation park yesterday and spent a couple of hours with the gorillas. it was fantastic and it paid to be patient. at first they did everything to avoid my lens, but soon warmed to my charm
these are a rare and endangered species and the park has done amazing things to help maintain the figures for these majestic creatures. over 130 births on site and over 70 gorillas between the 2 parks. some may not like to see these animals in cages but the enclosures are huge and they have a lot of features to keep them happy. the park really look after and care for the animals so i am more than happy to support them. here are some shots i got on the day

Thanks Mike.
He was exercising some serious restraint right there. As you may know, the silver back of any group will not be stared at as it is deemed an action of challenge. So i imagine his desire was to rip me a new one. thank the lord for steel
