Default Not Happy here - I've lost something important

G'day all

A mother cow separated from its calf as part of the weaning process bellowing just after sunrise - showing its displeasure in early morning light

As always, comments welcome
Phil

I thought I responded already to your pic Ozzie. But its gone. Huh. Anyway, Id like to see more detail in the black of the cow. I assume that light blurry area in front of the snout is the breath. That would be great on a colder day so it would stand out more. Most people might overlook the shot. Good job, good eye.

Thanks Mate

The original pic had the cow in black sillhouette - so I'm a bit worried about trying to lighten it any more ... but I'll give it a try

See you again tomorrow
Phil

This is what I got out of it. Not very good. Its the breath fog that interests me. As I said on a bit of a colder day it would really stand out.

G'day mate

You've done a better job than my efforts - I was getting too many JPG artifacts and was unhappy with them. The original exposure was EV-0,7 to keep the highlights under control and the idea of 'bringing out' the black cow was not on the agenda

As to the puff of hot-air in a cold morning ... yes that was what I was chasing - I had to wait around for 30 minutes to get 2, maybe 3 bellows from her

Keep smiling
Phil
