This is his watchtower. At the bottom of the stairs is a window that looks out to the front gate. He sits there looking out for visitors or waiting for family members to come home. We always know when someone is coming because he stands behind the front door staring at the letter box.:-)

What a gorgeous doggy portrait. The deep red carpeting and the angle of the stairs sets off Mr. Dog perfectly.

What a look on his face. Ever patient, ever suffering, putting up with these oddball humans.

What a great dog, and an equally great shot.

Now that's a face that would launch a thousand ships. This should be on a JRT calendar. Wonderful expression, good catch.

Thanks everyone, it wasn't too hard to get his attention because the beep of the camera focus did that for me. :-)

Great shots and such a cute dog! Is it a JRT? I dont think I've ever seen a long-haired one! My friends just got one a puppy and it's only like 5 inche long! And they let it walk around hroses... not so smart...

Yes he's a JRT. It seems a lot of people haven't seen a long haired JRT even here in England where they originated. There are 3 coat types for this dog and you can see them on the link below, Simba is a rough coated JRT. Your friends will find a lot of info on that site, it's the best one i've found.:-)

That is a beautiful dog! I agree with Barbara about the color of the carpet and him being on the steps setting him off, it's very nice. Both these photos are very good.
