hi discodudette,

thanks for the nice comment! Yep, german is my native language. I live near Frankfurt which is located in the middle of Germany.

Wien is the capital of Austria, a country with its border to germany in the south-east.

Take a look at this map, germany is the blue one, austria the green country.
The red dot is where I live and the purple one is "wien/vienna")

Ahhh! I was close... not really!

At least I knew that they spoke german! Your english is very good! I didn't even notice that it was not your native language until you just told me!

Thanks for the map!

Practice makes perfect.

Actually I like english ver much. It also was one of my A-levels, so I'm having fun with it.

Of course the beginnings were difficult, too, but I guess it's even more difficult to learn a language like german. You don't hear it on the radio like in songs or on the TV.
English is the one big language speaken worldwide.

So hats off for facing the challenge of learning german.

I did German for GCSE to. Taught German in England by an Irish teacher.
I've forgotten most of it. So it's about as good as my English.

discodudette (can I call you Amy? It's a lot quicker and easier) English in the second most spoken language, after Chinese. I think I'm right...
