Hi, I'm new here. Technically, this is not a pet, so I'm not certain where this picought togo.Anyway, here's myfirst attempt at shooting a cagedanimal, at the local zoo. The digicam used - Kodak's CX6200.

I'm not familiar with your camera, but if you're able to change the aperture, you can open it wide, focus on a caged animal, and nearly or sometimes completely wipe out any evidence of fencing from the picture. Alternatively, you can aim the camera through a space in the fence. Then again, sometimes the fence is part of the story, isn't it?

Keep shootin'

Thanks for the reply and that interesting bit ofinformation.

Unfortunately this particularcamera does not allow me to set the aperture. I am saving up for a more expensive camera which I hope to get in perhaps 6 months of so.

you could also try to get as close to the fence as possible and aim it through the litle holes. Usually works out pretty well.

*oops... barbara already said that*
