This is my daughter's pet hamster Teddi. She really wanted to get up close to the lens to see what that other hamster (her reflection in the lens) was up to, lol!

Hi Pavaros, thanks for the kind remarks. Actually, these are the only two that I have right now that are any good, Teddi moves so fast that it's hard to get a shot of her! I'm gonna try to get a couple more tonight, though, so we'll see how they come out.

They're not the same as a Guinea pig, they are a good bit smaller. There are a lot of different types of hamsters, apparently, although when Kelsey met this one in the pet store it was all over, there were no others worthy of even taking a look at, lol. :-) It is a sweet little animal, though, very friendly. I've heard stories of them biting people, but we've had this one for 3 months now and she has not even hinted that she might bite. Kelsey is very gentle with her, though, even for a 9 year old, as we had a pet mouse for 3 years before we got Teddi. My only complaint is that she likes to do all her "noisy stuff" at night... i.e. running in her wheel, moving her food bowl around in her cage, etc., so she'll keep you up a couple nights until you get used to hearing her mill around.
