This is Penny who is 29 years old and she is going to be put to sleep tommorow, I was asked by her owners to shoot something to remember her by and hubby has done a video. She looks very well but can barely walk now. The owners were quite upset but tried hard to look happy for the shoot.

Bless you, Julie. That must have been a very difficult thing to do. You have done a good thing for that family.

thanks everyone, I guess that is just part of letting animals into our lives, Ive had to say goodbuy to numerous dogs, cats and horses over the years. I think that animals only enrich our lives and Im glad I got to take these photos for them. It's not often you have an animal for 29 years as the woman in the photo has (she got the pony when she was a little girl and her young daughter has ridden her as well).

Awesome series, Julie...

Truly wonderful and amazing that Penny served two generations of girls that love horses.

What a legacy the mother has passed to her daughter.

The last one of the three of them tugs bigtime at the ol' heart strings.

Wonderful photos Julie, you gave them a gift that only you could give. One that they will remember fondly for a long time. Great Job!
