How did you get that nice low depth of field? Hard to do with a digital. Looks like a posed portrait. Makes the pic. Nice dawg.

Her owner was in the yard with her, I got her in focus, she let go, and I had a split second to take the picture before she bolted after the kids playing in the yard.

I can't recall if I had my telephoto on or not, but I'm pretty sure I did which blurred the background substantially. This was at the time I was switching over to my digital full time and I'm pretty sure it was my D-Rebel, but it might have been my old Rebel converted to digital through Wal Mart. Sorry, I don't recall.

One of those "happy accidents" then, huh? I love this photo. It has an almost abstract, 3-D quality to it. Very unusual (in a good way). Regards...:bye:

At first I was disappointed because her body was thrown so far out of focus and it looked like her head was floating in space, but I was pleased with the focus in her face.
