He's not turned out. I'm riding on Bureau of Land Management property. I do this so he can run free and learn about hills and uneven ground on his own without my having to guide him. It also lets him just be a horse. He's the 4th generation I've done this way and for me it works.

Very nice shot Suzan. The dark frame really sets off the browns in the shot.
