This is my daughter Ilena when she was 2 years old. We lived in the country and one of our neighbours had cows and a horse. This horse would alwys come up to the fence and lean his head over to eat our grass. Ilena thought she should help him so she would fill her wagon with freshly picked flowers and tall grass. As you can see he was a very gentle horse.

Rose

sorry about the quality of the photo but it was taken with a disc camera and most of my shots from then are fading.

Rose,

What alovely pic!

For me the 'quality' here just adds to the atmosphere of it all.And once again your writingcomplements the image.

Hi Rose,

How rich you are...to have such a lovely child

No worries about the fading or the disc cam...you have captured a beautiful moment in the life of your child.

On Home Makeover on ABC last Sunday, the daughter of Lori Piestawa, a soldier killed in Iraq, was featured riding her horse, an unbroken mustang given to the Piestawa family by the Arapahoe nation in honor of Lori Piestawa.

She is just 5 years old but this mustang loves her...and very much tolerates her on his back...and nobody else!

I imagine your horse was much the same with your daughter.

The wisdom of horses always amazes me

Thanks for sharing,Rose :-)

Thank you both for your kind words. And yes, we do feel very rich for both of our kids.
By the way, this was not our horse.....he just lived in the feild, on the other side of the fence, that surrounded our home.
I posted one more photo of Ilena and the horse in this category. Hope you like!
Thanks again,
Rose

Beautiful picture.

I guess the grass isn't just greener on the other side of the fence, it's tastier too!
