This is Teika. She worked as a guide dog for my vision impaired wife, before retiring early due to a condition called 'sound sensitivity'. After retirement she became my pet, and spent 2 1/2 years by my side 24/7, before succuming to a bacterial infection not so long ago.

Teika was a hero.

Hi jchad, You can tell what a sweet doggie she was just by the way she sits and looks at you with those big beautiful eyes and that wonderful smile. She certainly was special! It's so hard to loose a doggie, especially one that super. I'm so glad you shared her with us. bentleysmom

I love Golden Retrievers. I have had 3. They have all been awesome pets. I'm looking to get another now. The picture is great. And I understand missing her. I miss the twoof mine that died very much.

Teika was an lovely dog and one can see the love in the expression in her face.

My condolences! One look at this photo shows that Teika was very special, I don't think I have ever seen a more loving face than hers!
