He looks very battle-hardened! How did he lose his eye?

I am glad to see more of Jasper. My wife was just asking me the other day if there were any new pictures of him posted. I wish I was a little closer to Australia so he and Max could play!

Long story with this dog, Im his fourth owner. First was an old man who loved him. He ended up with a terrible cruel owner after that when my sister rescued him, he had been left tied to a post with no food and little water so she took him home. The guy that owned him just said take him. He had been abused and kicked around.

He had a great life with my sister and family and her German shepherd, another crossbreed and a Rhodesian ridge back but she could not keep so many dogs and she asked me to take him on. That was in 1998.

Jasper lost his eye as like many Jack Russell's he has small dog syndrome and kept annoying a bigger dog one day. The bigger dog just snapped the once in retaliation and the eye was badly damaged and had to be removed.

He still thinks he rules the roost even though he is blind in the remaining eye and is getting old an arthritic

He is doing ok, he coughs a lot in the morning, I think a symtom of old lungs, he is sore with our winter too. But he is happy and still going strong. Thanks for asking.

Wow, I LOVE that first shot!

He really does look like he has a TON of character... and how cool that he is lucky enough tolive outhis life in a good home after a tough go of it earlier in his life!

My favorite shot of Jasper was after he dug himself under the house if I remember correctly. He is quite the dog!
