I am sorry to hear this. He looks like a fantastic dog. My wife says big dogs are the best because you "can use them for a pillow" and "hug their neck". I hope you have many fond memories with chopper...he will never be lost then.

I understand just how you are feeling right now.

We keep a photo of every dog that we have lost on the fridge door and spend time looking at them. Although we have a kennel and have had a large number of dogs every one has been unique and so very very special.
Thinking of you

Oh Julie....

I feel bad with you. I bet chopper had some real good times with you.

It's so hard to let go.

i guess it comes with the responsibility of pet ownership, it never gets any easier. we do have many wonderful and highly amusing memories of Chopper in his heyday, like when he ate through the top of the couch to get his tennis ball from under it. thank you all for your sentiments, i appreciate them. our furry children mean everything to us- hope you all have a happy new year.

My deepest sympathy for you. I know EXACTLY how you are feeling - my other bunny, Rosie, died on 4th December.

You never realise just how desolate your heart can feel...

But look at the photos and remember the good times. Recall all his mad moments, the way he growled and 'ran' in his sleep, the way he made you feel so much better when you were feeling blue.

I know your sorrow:sad:We had to put ours down back in 2002. Here's my tribute to her. And a bunch of our silly nicknames.
