We got this mom and colt today..

It never ceases to amaze me, why people own animals but can not afford to care fore them properly. And furthermore, they don't think it's abuse.

I'm just happy we could get them and give them the care they desperatly need.

1st of all, Thank you for rescuing these beautiful creatures and I'm not a nice guy when it comes to complete losers like this and have been known to confront people(not verbal) who do this to any form of life.
These beautiful horses WILL know what you have done and make awesome friends for you and your family. Bless your heart for helping them

How sad!!!

Meiko

Be careful how you start them back on food. Cruel as it may sound, starved horses need to be reintroduced to proper feeding over a period of a couple of weeks. You may want to work up a plan with your local vet on how much of what to give each day.

Poor mom gave all her body fat to support her baby, its amazing that they are still holding on. Good luck and bless you in your efforts to save them.

Thanks everyone for looking, and your kind words..

I certainly will update from time to time.

And yes Peggy we have them in the short pasture right now, and on rations of sweet feed. They will be seeing the vet soon..

Thanks again!!
