These are a few more doors, overflow from the Weekly Challenge....

This old caboose door has a few modern conveniences like a padlock, light fixture and a deck chair....awaiting it's turn for rehab or preservation at the Illinois Railway Museum, Union, IL.

Air framed door to landscape design at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show. The banners on the railings had distracting ads so I painted them out to bring moreattention to the picture.

Another shot, different angle,of the same boxcar as my Challenge posting. Don't know WHY I didn't think to shoot the whole car....at least once....Duhhhhh!

Of the three I still find the boxcar the most intriguing probably because of the composition and the balance of texture and colors. The caboose has tons of texture but the isolation of the door doesn't convey the same impact for me.

Keep clicking away.

You chose the right photo for the challenge, but that second photo is definitely an intriguing one. It might be made better by cropping a bit on the right side, thus placing the door off-center andgiving more emphasis to the feeling of a path leading to this door to nowhere.
