Does this qualify for Architecture? I think it does. I'm not sure.

Well, it certainly qualifies for sculpture. Beautiful lighting and contrast. My only quibble is the bright object/display in the background. It adds an unappealing highlight. Otherwise, this is a fine photo. You captured your principal subject very flatteringly.

Your placement of the main object, namely, Aphrodite, is very good, actually. The sculpture qualifies itself without occupying the center fully, and leaves a cooridor for our gaze to travel through the corridor of the museum. The blown back of the Aphrodite and especially the features of the statuette (which I think could be an important in setting your theme) at the background is a bit disturbing!. But I am one of those who can appreciate the difficulties of taking photographs in museums. They are almost designed not to take photographs:G
PS.Would like to see the exif info too.. |

I'd have to look at the info... I took this just playing with a 40 dollar 50mm lens I picked up second hand. It doesn't talk to my camera body and I don't have a hand held meter yet so... I wasguesstamating it.
Are the highlights blown? I don't know. I was just having a good time playing with a new toy and jacking around. I remember I was takingit with anapof 1.8 and I don't remember the f-stop I used. Or the ISO. I have to look later. |
