Bahadir - great shots. Have you tried using a ND grad filter to darken the sky a bit? Sometimes that helps to bring out some detail even in an overcast sky. But really nice. Like the history too>

Peter-Thanks for your appreciation for the images and the history. That's correct, these ND grad filters seems to be a must for landscape photography. Although I have not tried any so far, I know, at least, what I suffer from. I believe I'll also need an adapter for my small camera to apply them. Btw, I overheard that you can overlap two grad filters of different stop values for further enhancement.

I grew up along the Mississippi river in Iowa. The early settlers used the same construction techniques with odd shaped limestone to build farmhouses and other buildings. The old buildings can still be found in the woods and along old country roads.
The walls are as good as ever, but everthing else has rotted away. They made great forts and castles in our imaginations. This brought back some good memories. Thanks. |

Thanks for your kind interest, Barbarian.
Maybe you can allow us the opportunity to see some of these beautiful old buildings of Mister and Mississippi.. |

hi Bahadir I like the first one, its a good dof, with an old type of building like this i think it would be good in b&w, if you do try b&w change it to 16 bit first, then use channel mixer play with the sliders.

hi Bahadir hope you don't mind could not resist trying your photo in b&w, a bit of dodge and burning and painting some colour back in.
