like everyone else great shot, especially with the subject matter moving.
to do a multi pic pano do you just put the camera on a tripod and simply rotate it on a horizontal plane or would it be better to actually pic the camera up, move yourself linearly down the horizontal plane keeping yourself perpendicular to the subject and take additional pictures as you go? |

I also think that the second way is harder but gives you better results.

Shooting panoramas (stitches) doesn't nessacary has to be with the camera on a tripod. None of the three shots were shot on a tripod.
The most important thing is NOT to use a superwide angle. These lenses will make all vertical lines tilting. Therefore find out at what zoom i.e. 40mm-50mm, your lens draws straight vertical lines. This will make the stitching much easier and make the photo look natural. In the shooting situation - keep the camera in the same height for each shot - make an overlap of each image at about 40-50 percent. Keep the camera tight to your body - this way it's easier to get similar shots. Keep an eye on moving object - the clonejob will be much easier then. And then just start from i.e. the left side, stay at the same spot, dont move your feets, but instead rotate your upper body. (it's almost like shooting with a riffle he he). Stitch back home. Everyone can do it. Finding good scenes for panoramas is much more difficult. |
