i really like the sky and the overall mood in this shot. it is really quite a good shot.
but it just looks quite soft.

Yeah...you right Hards, it does look a little soft. It did seem to appear better before uploading it. I sharpened it a bit here.

yea, that looks more like it. the texture of the barn is an important part of the scene. the only other thing i might do with it is clone out the 2 stray branches on the far left.
but i do really like this scene, its balanced nicely.

Empty quiver,
I am a great fan of old things especially when made of wood. Barns are a favorite. Just being inquisitive, Isn't there another house in the distant wood line (left edge) further left than the white stone fence post? I have problems seeing close up but my distance vision is still pretty sharp. What brought my attention to is was the beautiful contrast of the yellow topped trees in the forground of the wood line. Any way I like the clouds with the red colors on the bottoms and the darker clouds as the sun sets. over all intriguing thanks for sharing . Frank Last edited by hkmp50; Nov 10, 2010 at 9:07 PM. |

The only house around is in front of the barn, and it is in worst shape then the out buildings......there is nothing but woods and pasture behind.
