I agree about the location - it's an amazingly beautiful place, wherever it is. However, I think the composition of this shot could be improved with some cropping. The statue dominates the center of the picture a bit too much and detracts from the background, which is an important element in this shot. I hope you don't mind my fiddling with it a little.

thank you for your time, this picture was taken in paris france, you are absolutely right,a bit of cropping really improves the picture, i have done cropping on other photos and it turned out great.
the place is really amazing that i do not want to crop out anything from the fore ground or background but anyway it is fun to experiment,, have a nice day... ![]() |

Cool shot of a beautiful place. Although the original shot has the statue pretty much centered (I think what Toshi was trying to do was applying the rule of thirds by off-centering the statue), I also like the original better. It gives a better idea of how big (and open)this place really is. The row of buildings in the background re-enforces this idea.
