Mass began before I could work my way up front; next time, I want to get a close shot of that magnificent altar.
![]() Mrs. Barbarian went in ahead of me, and got most of the interior shots, including this one. |

![]() ![]() In the gift shop, I found a rosary identical to the one with which my mother taught me. It's odd how a little thing like that can bring on a flood of memories, which were lost for so long, but somehow still there, ready to be recalled. |

Nice shots, makes me wish we had more time to look around San Antonio, TX when we pass through in 2003. Did see the River Walk and the Alamo but then had to leave the next day.

River Walk is very nice, especially at night. The Christmas parade on the water is very impressive.
The National Park Service maintains four Spanish missions that are great, along with irrigation works, an old mill, and so on. And it's all free. I've got pictures, but the kids are in town this week, and I've been busy. And yeah, the Alamo. I forgot about tahat one. ![]() |

Oh!You capturedreally demonstrative images ofsuch an imposing edifice crowned by a elegant dome with a lantern, quite reminiscent of its counterparts in the old continent, my friend

Thanks, Bahadir; I always wondered what the little top on domes was called. I normally attend a modern church, which uses chairs. I was so happy to find pews with kneelers, that I put down the camera and took a little time to enjoy prayer the way it used to be.
