I posted this in the Panasonic forumwhere it drew good reviews. Thought I should post it here for theotherviewers too. I am not yet ready with answers as to what the figures represent, but I can tell you that this the east entrance tower of the Kapaleeshwar temple in Chennai, India. At least 400 years old. Taken around noon hence a little overexposed.

Nice picture. Amazed at the intricate statue work. When I look at old temples or cathedrals I'm always astounded at the work, man could do without any sophisicated construction machines that we have nowadays.

Dazzling image with vibrant colours and intricate texture!

The strong sunlight of India must have had a great role in the overexposure issue you mentioned. Here's my attempt to compensate it. Not a day and night difference of course...Hope you don't mind
