Here are a few scenery pictures that I took from our road trip to California...
1) A backroad creek in Idaho. ![]() 2) Hoover Dam. ![]() 3) Palms of Las Vegas. ![]() 4) Scenery of New Mexico. (I love the clouds in this picture, however, there is a orange road sign that is just plain ugly. Thats why we have photoshop though!) ![]() Comments? |

cool shot of the dam
I really don't mind the orange sign in #4 but the streaks (power lines?) across the clouds really bug me. keep up the good work. |

the streaks are there. they run off the left side of the picture a little less than half way up. from that point the angle down to the right slightly and end by the tree that is just left of the big rock formation. I am betting they are power lines.

The streaks are just barely visible in the Hoover Dam picture also
Despite the straeks The Hoover dam picture caught my interest. Keep clicking away.. |

I saw the towers but didn't look close enough to notice the power lines. Jenni, remember this is just constructive criticism, overall the shots are nice

lol.....you were able to see those tiny little power lines in the Hoover Dam picture?!!??! when you pointed them out i could barely see them (and i'm one of the youngest members here!)
lol! nice pictures jenni! i like the hoover dam one the best......i'm thinking i might(if it were my picture) crop the parking lot out of it......i'm not sure though......i can't tell if it adds to it....or if it is needed......oh well......keep shooting! and have fun! |

One suggestion. When you resize your pictures, do it to either 25% or 50%. If you do it on something odd like 33% or half of that, or whatever you gain a lot of jaggies along angled and curved edges. The pictures would be a lot clearer if you used a normal ratio to shrink them.
(I hope you know what I'm talking about with that terrible explanation) |
