A trio of pictures from a recent trip to Chicago.
The first was taken by my son with HP315 which is a dinosaur in terms of what most posters use. Fixed focus, no zoom, etc.. But I found that it still takes some credible shots. Here is a good example of a shot of the John Hancock Building: ![]() I was also fascinated by the old Chicago Public Library. Here are two shots taken inside using a Minolta S404. ![]() and a shot of the dome. ![]() Aloha |

Great photoes! I am impressed at the realistic lighting you have achieved inside the library.
It looks like a majestic library indeed! ![]() |

Sound Engineer,
Thank you for your comments. I was a bit surprised at how well the library pictures were. All lighting was natural with most of it coming from outdoors and only a bit provided by the chandeliers. The picture of the dome shows the classic style that was used in designing old library. The new library located not too far away is of course more "modern" but it lacks the warmth and intimacy of the old building where I spent many winters educating myself about the world. Aloha. I |

I like the one of the John Hancock Building. I often flew around it, in MS Flight Simulator
