Great job there rmuir. And that closeup is incredible. The detail of every brick is there and exposure is right on. What lens did you use on that one?

In the first shot the shadow in the lower part of the frame is distracting. Also distracting is the distortion of the vertical lines of the buildings...which could be fixed in PS.

Thanks Bynx, that's my trusty Canon S5-IS w/no adapter. Funny you mention the bricks, I used a few of the tips from here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfajiToqJXM
Agreed Walter on the shadow, it was kind of a fluke that I had access to were I took this from and wish it had been a different time of day, or maybe overcast. I might be able to try again sometime. As far as the crookedness, I need to learn more about fixing that. I usually rotate as needed until a vertical line in the middle of the shot is straight, then use Transform>Perspective to pull the sides in or out. This didn't seem to be very effective here, maybe because it's stitched hand held shots? For instance, the large building on the left is slightly bowed, I have no idea how to fix that without bending everything else... Anyway, here's another shot of the top. ![]() |

I just checked out a review of your camera. Im really impressed with the quality of the lens. I think my camera is on par with yours however, Im sure the quality of the distance shots would fall short.
